I am giving below a link to my blog where I have uploaded the melodious rendition of Sri Krishna Satakamu with and without narration, rendered by legendary carnatic musician Smt. Chittoor Revathy Ratnaswamy, daughter of legendary musician Late Shri. Chittoor Subramanyam (Pillai).
As a Telugu mother raising a son in US, I struggle to give my son an appreciation of the language and the culture. One way I found is to teach him Telugu rhymes and poems as well as some Sanskrit slokams. This blog is an effort to share those poems with other Telugu parents.
Click on the poem to see it in better resolution. Click on the YouTube link to listen to the poem being recited either by me or by my son.
I have gathered these poems from various telugu sites on the web, in addition to typing them up myself. The purpose of this site is to find poems that NRI parents feel comfortable teaching their kids and as such I have exclude some of the more popular but adult oriented slokams and padyams.
